The faith-rooted Journey
Journey:
A Calling
A Christian fable about faith, influence and legacy—and the choices that shape the leader you choose to be.
Whose calling am I choosing to follow?
Who am I called to serve along the way?

By P R Uys
Why this Journey?
When achievement no longer answers the deeper questions
A leader can reach the goal, carry the title and still wonder whether the road has led in the right direction.
Journey: A Calling creates space to examine leadership before God: the character beneath performance, the people affected by our choices, and the legacy that remains after our season of influence ends.
It asks readers to choose surrender over self-reliance, servant leadership over personal promotion and Kingdom purpose over private ambition.
Leadership reaches its fullest purpose when what we have learned is entrusted to those who will continue beyond us.
Where it came from
Lessons shaped across countries, companies and seasons of leadership
For fifteen years, P R Uys served as a C12 Chair in Georgia, walking beside Christian business owners and CEOs as they worked to lead their companies with Kingdom purpose, integrity and faith. That experience formed part of a much longer journey through business ownership, executive leadership and mentoring in South Africa and the United States.
Across countries, companies, success, failure and seasons of change, the same questions kept returning: Whose calling are we following? What guides us when the road is unclear? How do we lead people without controlling them? And who will be stronger because we walked beside them?
How it works
A story to read slowly—and a path to practise
The book uses a Christian leadership fable because leadership is understood through people, choices, struggles, consequences and moments of truth.
The calling within
Let God lead your own heart
Identity in Christ, hard truths, Kingdom purpose, spiritual stewardship and the narrow path of integrity.
The calling with others
Walk well with people
Daily faithfulness, trust, covenant community, grace-filled conversation, godly culture and adaptability.
The calling beyond yourself
Entrust what you have learned
Resilience, stewardship of influence, intentional discipleship, spiritual multiplication and obedience.
For whom?
For Christian leaders willing to examine more than results
For people who want their faith, character and leadership choices to tell the same story.
- Business owners, executives and managers carrying responsibility for people and organisations.
- Mentors and experienced leaders considering what they will pass to the next generation.
- Leadership teams and trusted groups prepared for honest, faith-rooted conversation.
- Readers facing transition, pressure, disappointment or questions about purpose and legacy.
